    While maybe not as consistently engaging, this is genuinely in the same lane (haha) as Spiderverse and Fury Road in terms of visuals. If you had any doubts that this wasn’t a good movie please revisit the “Non-ja” joke.

    Can't be totally sure but I think watching the climactic race of Speed Racer in imax made me weep tears of joy but the tears were the colors of a bag of skittles and maybe that was actually my eyes bleeding from the sensory overload but whatever it was it was beautiful…

    9.5/10 What a fun time! Some of the best transitions I've ever seen. The aesthetic is dated by its times - Very green screen 3D - but this film worked with that. It blends the 80's show with the"futuristic" style well. Michael Giaccino blends the old theme in so well here

    While the movie can be a bit too long and some CGI is dated, everything else is peak. The acting is incredible, some of the comedy made me laugh out loud, and the racing is among the most exciting I’ve seen, even today. It feels like an anime/video game in the best way.
