Synopsis
After witnessing a bizarre, traumatic incident involving a patient, Dr. Rose Cotter (Sosie Bacon) starts experiencing frightening occurrences that she can't explain. Elijah dislikedSmileI was told this movie was going to be terrifying, traumatizing even, so me and my friend went to watch it in theaters. It was such a let down. It wasn't scary at all and I thought it was so bad that I almost got kicked out of the theater for laughing at it so loud. Cringe movie:)

I’m not a horror person. So I watched this on my iPad in like 5 sittings to make it way less scary. Low key clever premise once it comes together. Only watched this because of good marketing (nice job paramount) and it was fun enough if you’re into movies like this
mia is "meh" onSmilethere were scary moments, but there wasn’t really a plot. it was definitely a little bit psychologically scary and elements were very good, but it couldn’t really be followed. the ending was also disappointing
GENAI lovedSmileWow. This movie was phenomenal, but that ending made me severely upset, purely for the fact that I don’t like when things don’t work out in the end. The scares were top notch, the acting was real and visceral, and the situations were well constructed. Plus the visuals? Truly a 💯.

Though it may be derivative, Smile still manages to be a scary, unsettling ride that’s powered by an impressively committed Sosie Bacon performance and some assured direction. Finn is one to watch.
