Ian CurranJul 9, 201990 Remember when a Vice blogger stated that Happy Death Day 2U was the first horror film to deal with grief? If you hadn't already guffawed when that click-bait title first dropped, I hope you're rolling your eyes back as you're reading this, because it's a preposterous…

Lauren!Dec 20, 2024The year is 1984. You are the movie critic at a mainstream newspaper. You make $65,000 per year. You voted for Carter four years ago but went for Reagan this time. You are very concerned how easily children are able to access some of the ugliest tapes at the video store.…

Why the hell was the Grandpa faking being catatonic?👴🏻 Genuinely, what was his deal?😵 Anyway, I think I liked this🎅🏻. It was very bleak but also sorta fun still🪓. I was mainly hung up on the weirdo grandpa. He’s only in it for like 2 minutes but he really creeped me…
Jade talks too much🎅🏻🎄Dec 23, 2020I forgot that this movie actually takes its time to develop Billy’s downward spiral, leading to a hell of a murder spree. Genuinely disturbing, I get the picketing. A nasty slice of 80’s holiday sleaze.
Joe LynchOct 21, 2026Sort of... incredibly terrible. Even for an 80's "B movie" horror. But I did enjoy the Christmas rock ballad montage of Billy stacking shelves in a toy shop. 🔙 My Last Review: | Halloween Ends |

- GENAI likedSilent Night, Deadly Night
Valid crashout, just wish the recipients of said crashout were more appropriate lol. 7 murders, and only 1 of them felt earned. And the only other person in the movie he deserved some revenge for didn’t happen! Smh. Billy was hot though. And tall. With the strength of ten men.
Morgan likedSilent Night, Deadly Nightpoor billy :( he just needed some therapy
Dark Sun likedSilent Night, Deadly NightGreat soundtrack, good kills, and following kid Billy was genuinely well-done, as it actually felt way too real. The movie does lose me with its nudity though. I know it’s a guarantee for horror, but its use is so incredibly excessive and often in very poor taste.
- ChungiBoi is "meh" onSilent Night, Deadly Night
This was a surprising watch as everyone I heard talk about it referred to it as a goofy b slasher, and although it has some of that, it’s actually very dark and depressing for much of it. It’s alright but not very rewatchable for me
JJ Jet-Plane is "meh" onSilent Night, Deadly Nightmeh, it was decent. interesting storyline. lack of music for most of the movie, it was eerie at times. not my cup of tea but i do think it was a solid movie, personal taste aside.
MovieDaddy likedSilent Night, Deadly NightOverly schlocky with over the top acting and kills. Very enjoyable for horror hounds, on par with the like of Sleepaway Camp.

7/10 hidden gem love the concept and the kills are so fun have you been nice or should you be punished?
Abbi likedSilent Night, Deadly NightClassic slasher. Traumatized boy grows up to kill a bunch of people. Except now, it’s 🎄✨Christmas✨🎄
Ggrizz likedSilent Night, Deadly Night“Go back to bed or Santa won’t come” “He’s not the only one” Got to love 80s slashers.

In nearly every way, Silent Night, Deadly Night is as run-of-the-mill a slasher film as the ’80s produced, enjoyable today primarily for its kitsch value.
