Synopsis
Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin are heading back to the border in Sicario: Day of the Soldado. The drug cartels have begun trafficking a new kind of product across the US-Mexico border: terrorists. To combat this development in the drug war, Federal agent Matt Graver (Brolin) once again calls on the unpredictable operative Alejandro Gillick (Del Toro) to help him incite a conflict between rival cartels, pitting them against each other. To do so, Alejandro kidnaps the daughter of a top cartel kingpin… the same kingpin that had his family killed. As the girl becomes collateral damage in a war with no rules, her fate may force the two men to question what it is they’re even fighting for anymore. Directed by Stefano Sollima and written by Taylor Sheridan (who also wrote 2015’s Sicario), the film also stars Catherine Keener, Isabela Moner, Matthew Modine, and Jeffrey Donovan.

The first time I watched Sicario I said "if Denis Villenueve hadn't made this movie, it wouldn't be good" and now I know that I was right
Elle DriverJun 30, 2018all of these characters getting abducted and yet none of them, not even ONE, remembered to keep a money clip with $50 on them to throw in case of emergency
laurenJun 30, 2018"So that's it, huh? We're some kind of Sicario 2: Soldado"

Within the first 10 minutes of Hitman: Dia del Soldier, the sequel immediately sets itself politically antithetical to Sicario. The film opens with a text explaining that there are thousands of people smuggled across the U.S.-Mexico border for profit by Mexican Drug…
Steve LovecraftJun 18, 2018Josh Brolin gets one of the all-time great introductions in Sicario. We meet his character, Matt Graver, in a Department of Justice conference room. Everyone else around the table is in a suit and tie; he’s wearing a T-shirt and an unbuttoned collared shirt. He peers at…
Matt SingerSep 26, 2018Almost impressed by how blatantly gross and irresponsible the first like 15 mins of this is; at best it's in poor taste and at worst it plays as bloodthirsty Fox News propaganda but regardless it felt way more truthful to what I think Sheridan actually thinks about this…

Josh Brolin & Benicio del Toro need to stop being hot so I can stop watching these average movies

This feels like they hijacked the first one only to inject and infect it with nonsensical propaganda and an almost pointless plot. Compared to the first, it's almost unrecognisable. The characters, the depth, the meaning, the themes, the script, the quality... Essentially, it's Sicario if it were a…
With a solid narrative and a fabulous performance by Del Toro, Brolin, and even Merced this film manages to stay as intense and engaging as its predecessor. Despite its slow pace it never put me into boredom. Its probably not as good as the first, but it’s a worthy sequel. 9.3/10

It was good but the first one was way better. Kinda confused at the end but i kinda get it i guess lol. It was just all over the place 6.3/10
Taylor Sheridan goat. He simply can’t miss. Not as good as first but still awesome

Very lackluster compared to the first. Not terrible, but not great. The first half is really good and seems to have a an intense build up, but right around halfway it cuts off and goes in different directions. All in all a good film, not really rewatchable. I wonder whats to come
great. awesome sequel to the first. what caught my attention the most was the following thought: great story. however, arguably it could be seen/said that most of what we see is expedition. I feel like it was all for the very last scene, for the reckoning of the new at the end.

Cant wait for part 3!!!!!!
MSMaury ShapuMovie was slow. It dragged a lot throughout the whole movie.
MDMar DeRocaI enjoyed the movie however, I kind of felt that the ending left me hanging. I left the movie thinking to myself ...wtf now? Too many questions left unanswered. Trying to piece it together. There will be Sicario 3, honestly though I have no idea what direction they are…

Epic disappointment, I was expecting some bloody gore scenes like in Sicario 1.
HOHarold OwitiPeople talk a lot during the movie. I was seated at the last raw to have a better view. But the chairs were to low and the people in front of us blocked the view of the screw.
DGDylon GrixHonestly mad how they ended the movie. But definitely am expecting a part 3.
