A red coat. That's all it is. It's used to keep warm, a shelter against the blistering cold. Gusts of wind tatter and billow, threatening the gentle glow that results from the little red coat. In all the horror, the absolute Hell, the devastation, the inhumanity; a simple…
SilentDawnOct 4, 2023As iconic, almost mythic of a filmmaker Steven Spielberg is, this is the sort of film you would never imagine he has in him. Masterpiece in every sense of the word.

“JUST ONE MORE PERSON!”
SammieJan 28, 2023what can i possibly say
˗ˏˋ suspirliam ˊˎ˗Oct 24, 2012This film bothers me and not because of its subject matter, but because of its treatment of it. When making a film about the Holocaust, everything you do is fraught with danger. One could even argue that visualizing the Holocaust in a work of fiction is something that…

can you believe some ppl are still sleeping on ralph fiennes? he didn’t become a nazi and voldemort for this
raiThis is not just a movie, rather a lesson. A lesson that shows us how terrible we can be. How terrible we can treat our fellow man. How terrible a person can be when power is involved. A lesson that every school should teach young and old.
CevolucaNov 27, 2019100 Schindler's List is often hypocritical. It tugs at the heartstrings while stripping its formal mechanics of sentiment. It portrays the truth of history while often succumbing to cheap suspense tactics (the shower scene). It provides a snapshot of the industrialized…

Now, this movie is beautiful, but the story is absolutely devastating. Now, I don’t know who Liam Neeson was up against in the Oscars, but I struggle to understand who could have possibly beat him in terms of acting, because Liam Neeson made be absolutely sob towards the ending.
Steven Spielberg does a great job portraying the horrors of the Holocaust, the brutality of the Nazis, and the heartbreaking story of Oskar Schindler and the Jews he saved from the concentration camps. The soundtrack brings tears. A must watch, albeit a depressing one.

a literal masterpiece, so beautiful behind such a devastating story. the end scene where schindler says “I could have gotten one more” really made me cry 💔
The brilliance of this movie is that most of us already know the plot and what’s going to happen because of it being so famous, but nonetheless it delivers all the necessary emotions to make you care, to sympathize and to feel all the pain and suffering of the whole nation. And that’s cinema 🎬

Finally got around to watching this. I'm rating it as a piece of art, nothing more. As good as it was, I can't say it was better than The Pianist, which I also rated as a piece of art. I hope everyone who 'loved' this takes that into consideration and reflects on -
A great film but a tough to watch. But after 30 years, some viewers may decide they’re ready to see it again. Liam Neeson is imposing and heart wrecking as Schindler and Ralph Fiennes is incendiary as the concentration camp master.
