Should have won Best Picture
One of the best movies ever!
Obviously one of the greatest films ever made and they included some of the deleted scenes in this version that they have shown in theaters
first time to see it on the big screen.amazing to say the least
My son loves this movie, but wasn't born when it came out, so he's never watched it on the big screen. I took him to watch it and he had no idea what we were going to see. I made it a big surprise for him - and it was! He was enthralled for the entire movie and proclaimed that I am 'the greatest dad ever!'
Greatest war movie of all time
I was really hoping for an ATMOS theater since the new release had an ATMOS track.
This movie is an absolute masterpiece, and though there are those that will point out the small historical or realism fallacies, it is the perfect war film that will bring the emotions out of anyone that cares about what the men of D-Day did for not only the U.S. but the world.
beautiful, terrifying, moving
This movie is arguably one of, if not the best war movies ever made. it is living history and honors the memory of every member of the Greatest Generation. Spielberg, Hanks and everyone who worked on this picture in any capacity should be proud of the masterpiece that was created. ... A simply beautiful, tear jerking and thoughtful movie. Glad to see this movie in a theatre 21 years after the first time I saw it there. Prior to the movie, there were no previews but a nice "making of" piece to give some background on the movie. The movie itself is great, but seeing it at the theatre with the proper sound equipment is a treat that has to be experienced. If you can, I highly recommend catching this movie at the theatre.
A masterpiece war epic. One part that's often overlooked is the audio... watch this movie with surround sound for best experience!
I my opinion, this is the greatest film ever made.
Steven Spielberg places you back in the 1940’s as though you’re actually there. So real.
Got to see it with my two younger brothers who had never seen it. Great experience
This is easily one of the best movies ever made and is actually the best war movie ever made. I’d see if every year if it came out around D-Day even if it wasn’t one of my husbands favorites.
Touching and inspiring. A wonderful tribute to the Greatest Generation.
I swear, this movie was better when I was a kid.
I was crying during the showing.I hope to visit Normandy dome day
My fav war movie, on a theater screen? Hells yeah!

Nothing that suggests an independent vision, unless you count seeing more limbs blown off than usual.
A bitter, bloody masterpiece with adrenalized emotions and hyper-realized images, this is perhaps as close to battle as any sane human being should ever hope to tread.
The movie's greatest strength lies in phenomenal performances that reach from the leads right down to the smallest supporting roles.
