The ending was FANTASTIC thank you to the most beautiful woman in the world for showing this to me
Whoppa Birthday likedSaint MaudGorgeous cinematography. Fantastic score. Great acting. Unique storyline that keeps the audience guessing with a lead that is borderline impossible to root for. Perfect runtime makes this an easy watch but the subject material negates from the smoothness. Worth checking out.
Riley Lucas likedSaint MaudI loved the little hints of insanity throughout such as the whole thing with her name. The characters were well developed. It’s a short movie yet it took its time in a way to tell the story. The ending was similar to other A24 horror films but it fit nicely regardless.

Confirmed, Rose Glass is my new favorite writer/director in horror. Please keep giving her money for film projects. Went back to this one after Love Lies Bleeding and the writing is so fresh and the vision and execution behind the camera… impeccable.
nevaeh is "meh" onSaint Maudthis film was confusing and hard to follow—i didn't understand most of what was happening. it wasn't scary or suspenseful, and the lack of action made it feel boring and dull. the concept had potential, but it felt more strange than original.
cambria likedSaint Maud8.5/10 -so, so eerie. a24 is way too good at this -really shows how loneliness, guilt and the desperation to overcome them can drive someone to insanity, even though it doesn’t feel insane to them -really good acting, cinematics and imagery

Yeah I’m obsessed with Rose Glass, this movie was so good. Haunting, sharp, intentional imagery and cinematography. A powerful lead performance as the film chronicles a descent into trauma induced madness. Sad and at times gut twisting.
EchoesOfOrth dislikedSaint Maud1/5 Religious Psychosis: The Movie. To be honest it really didn't do anything for me, I was bored through the entirety of the movie and was really just counting down the seconds until the movie ended and I could move on with my night.
nevan likedSaint Maudan impactful film that perversely twists an aged premise with unique directive style, unsettling body horror and great performances. quite a short watch that spends possibly too much time setting up its scares

In only an hour and 24 minutes, Glass has crafted a film rich in history, reference, psychology, spirituality, style and even some gore, but it never overstays its welcome, recognizing that less is more.

Saint Maud is an impeccably crafted, deeply unsettling, and wickedly engrossing religious horror film.
