Synopsis
The debut film from writer-director Rose Glass, Saint Maud is a chilling and boldly original vision of faith, madness, and salvation in a fallen world. Maud, a newly devout hospice nurse, becomes obsessed with saving her dying patient's soul - but sinister forces, and her own sinful past, threaten to put an end to her holy calling.

Whoppa Birthday likedSaint MaudGorgeous cinematography. Fantastic score. Great acting. Unique storyline that keeps the audience guessing with a lead that is borderline impossible to root for. Perfect runtime makes this an easy watch but the subject material negates from the smoothness. Worth checking out.
Riley Lucas likedSaint MaudI loved the little hints of insanity throughout such as the whole thing with her name. The characters were well developed. It’s a short movie yet it took its time in a way to tell the story. The ending was similar to other A24 horror films but it fit nicely regardless.

Confirmed, Rose Glass is my new favorite writer/director in horror. Please keep giving her money for film projects. Went back to this one after Love Lies Bleeding and the writing is so fresh and the vision and execution behind the camera… impeccable.
nevaeh is "meh" onSaint Maudthis film was confusing and hard to follow—i didn't understand most of what was happening. it wasn't scary or suspenseful, and the lack of action made it feel boring and dull. the concept had potential, but it felt more strange than original.

Yeah I’m obsessed with Rose Glass, this movie was so good. Haunting, sharp, intentional imagery and cinematography. A powerful lead performance as the film chronicles a descent into trauma induced madness. Sad and at times gut twisting.
