Very enjoyable storyline about a man who goes to extreme lengths to evade the police. Good insight into the inner workings of a person under high pressure who chooses to commit criminal acts

The laughs, the warmth, the love and the faith-based fellowship die out in the dismal final act.
It becomes easier in retrospect to admire the tricky tonal balance Cianfrance is going for throughout, resulting in a bumpy, ultimately successful melodrama.
Another, more textured film might have tried to paint him as more than just lovable rogue but Roofman is too focused on making us feel good rather than bad. I would have settled for conflicted.
