Moviegoers are saying
This Channing Tatum-led true story strikes an emotional chord with audiences, delivering a surprisingly touching tale about human imperfection and moral complexity. While most viewers connect deeply with its heart-pounding narrative about a man evading police, some find the pacing disappointingly slow.

Surprise banger of the year for me. And I hate to make an "actor in other movies" kind of review, but it is very funny that he bangs Mary Jane then immediately goes back to his Spider-Man filled fortress in a movie that takes place the same year Spider-Man 2 came out

theoOct 6, 2025I’m just like roofman cause I also stole video games but it was from a sweet old man at a flea market that trusted me and let me watch his shop as he went to the bathroom and then I resold them to GameStop. I was only 13!!!!! I’m very sorry old man I hope you’re okay

zxki likedRoofmanI'm very particular about films that claim to be true stories, and granted, 'Roofman' takes some dramatic liberties, but all in all, I feel it truly earns the label. Channing Tatum just seems to get better and better with each performance. The casting and acting in general were great, especially…

An unbelievable true story that made an absolutely great film. I did not expect this film to be so emotional & enthralling. I thought this film would be mostly a comedy with a bit of drama, but I was very wrong. It was the complete opposite. Overall, great film & enjoyable.
Jeramy likedRoofmanthis movie is a man giving his life to his country just to not be taken care of to the point where he resorted to stealing (from corporations which shouldn’t even count as a crime lowkey) and then is put in jail to be a slave for the rest of his life. good movie though 8/10
SpindlyMan likedRoofmanCame for laughs, got some and some tears. Kinda feel for the guy. Acting is good. Story progressed well. Enjoyed it from the beginning to the end. Them church people be wild. Haha! 🙈

9/10 what an adventure and a great story, don’t quit understanding the punishments, seem the sentence in this instance was a bit extreme. Cast were all great and well told. Recommend.
DL Cooper likedRoofmanHell of a story! Well acted by the whole ensemble and a good pushing and pulling of tension between light hearted comedy and heavily weighted reality.
MamaKizzle likedRoofmanWe enjoyed it but it really was heartbreaking for so many reasons. It had a super solid cast who told the story well. It’s definitely worth watching.

The laughs, the warmth, the love and the faith-based fellowship die out in the dismal final act.

It becomes easier in retrospect to admire the tricky tonal balance Cianfrance is going for throughout, resulting in a bumpy, ultimately successful melodrama.

Another, more textured film might have tried to paint him as more than just lovable rogue but Roofman is too focused on making us feel good rather than bad. I would have settled for conflicted.
