The classic story of a boy and his dog enters the age of social media. "Friendship is a two-way street!" Going into Ron’s Gone Wrong, I figured it would be a cliched mix of 'ET' and 'Big Hero 6', but it was so much more than that with its super smart/funny writing,…

Cute, funny movie. The kids loved it. I really wish I could have given it 5 stars! The movie referenced Cocain which has no ace in a kids movie. But great other than that one instance.

Peter Baynham, best-known for Borat and Alan Partridge, co-wrote this script, which offers just the right of blend of madcap farce and piercingly precise gags about social media.

Ron’s Gone Wrong offers partially realized messaging about social media while populating the story with elementary sight gags, too many overused “fish out of water” tropes, and attractive merchandise options.

Ron’s Gone Wrong has enough ideas about our current relationship with technology and social media to bring about important conversations between parents and teens that are more than just “phones are bad,” while delivering a charming and at times laugh-out-loud funny story about a boy and his robot computer friend.
