i just love sadako so much & this is one of the best ambient horror mood tapes ever. it just has such a quiet calm to it while also being consistently eerie. it feels like looking at the sea under overcast skies. an autumnal chill. the remoteness of forgotten or abandoned…

I know my review says I loved this movie but that it’s only from a critical and cinematic point of view. What I mean is, literally everything about this movie was incredible and knew exactly what it was doing and was able to do it almost perfectly but I hope I never see it again.

deserves much more love than the infamous remake, considering that it does everything better by a pretty significant margin. truly eerie atmosphere with some dated but endearing effects, a modern horror classic
