Adam シJul 30, 2012One of the best found-footage films, maybe even THE best. Its secrets are fairly simple. Make it scary and move it along at a brisk pace. This film is never allowed to drag and we are invited to join the dots like the characters up to the genuinely chilling finale. Watching…

PELICULÓN DE MIEDO Y MUY ESPAÑOLA RAAAHHHHH
Andrew Gooder loved[REC]For a film that I had never heard of before, it was pretty damn good and quite unnerving. Anything found footage style has always proved unsettling and this took it to a new level. I will say the English dub is cheesy, but it’s scary and the actors perform splendidly. 9.8/10!!!!!
Emma FONDON loved[REC]Best horror movie ever in which even the camera guy dies... it all seems so true and really invite you in this building with the other victims of the massacre! I recommend to watch it in Spanish, it's even better to catch on the slight touch of dark humor in this work of art!!!

Far better than remake version. The scene felt more realistic and terrifying. Instead of rooting the girl to survive, i wished her to die first, no offense. She’s so annoying and loud for what reason. The only thing that hyped me up was the climax scene. If only it can save this
Morgan is "meh" on[REC]was pretty boring and loud for the most part, i really liked the different/realistic take on zombies at first but i don’t really like zombie movies and this didn’t change my mind, i wish i understood what happened at the end more because it was the best part
cool guy disliked[REC]i liked the more realistic take on a zombie breakout, but then it went nowhere. the ending was truly the best part (not in a smartass way). otherwise, the movie is just screaming.

Absolutely amazing I don’t even know Spanish
Miki is "meh" on[REC]I was really looking forward to this movie after seeing the reviews that regard it as the scariest zombie film they have ever seen. I wouldn't say it's anything too crazy. I like that the movie was filmed from a camera's literal POV so it feels like you're watching a real documentary, but the plot…
Grant Friday loved[REC]I had meant to watch REC for years, but never got around to it, and eventually watched Quarantine a little while ago without realising that was the American remake of REC. So having watched that, I’ve just watched REC to compare. REC is so much better. Quarantine is pretty much a frame by frame…

“REC” delivers a steady stream of frights because its camera man never knows quite where to look — and by the time he figures it out, it might be too late.

If you can tolerate 79 minutes of joggling images you’ll probably find this entertaining, though writer-directors Jaume Balaguero and Paco Plaza overplay their hand with a late-breaking back story that rips off one movie too many.

Shot in shaky handheld style, [REC] is a bit like George A. Romero’s Diary of the Dead, but, you know, actually scary.
