For a “musical-comedy” the songs here were actually good, yet they were constantly layered with the most awful auto-tune I’ve ever heard. Minor gripe aside, this was actually quite a fun film. It never goes too off the rails like I thought it might as it edged toward the end. Instead, the film…

🫎🫎1/2 Holy cornball. Ts could run on Hallmark if it wanted. With so many recognizable faces i was surprised with the quality this produced. It’s not their fault, but the writing and script was so generic. Very cookie cutter-esque. The music was also bad. The only time any of the music felt…

6.8/10 Just missed being a like This whole movie felt like a build up and but the end was just flat and boring. It was a good idea for a movie and executed well in certain ways just wasn’t very polished off and wasn’t as emotional as I thought (maybe because paul Rudd was in it)

Monday surprise premiere. Music sucked so fuckin bad, but that tracks given the current state of the shopping mall-ification of top charters. Inside is a cute-at-times story abt growing older and copyright in music and a whole bunch of fascinating-yet-not-properly-explored theme

Pretty good nothing spectacular though. I liked Nick Jonas in the film I would’ve liked to see more scenes of them together maybe but I also enjoyed seeing the dualities of their separate lives. Bit disappointing that Nick didn’t get that character development at the end tho

I watched this without any context because Paul Rudd is my favorite and Nick Jonas was a bonus. I wanted to see how they worked together and this was a great way to show off some skills I didn't know Rudd had! Overall, the language was a little extreme, but cool story.

The fact his friends or even his family didn’t believe he wrote the song would have drove me crazy too. I am glad his daughter found an old recording of the song. Dislike the movie doesn’t show that Danny Wilson is a fraud. Many underground artist faces this everyday.

sure bruh. was so hoping this would be good. but no. paul rudd is so painfully miscast. and the writing is just so so so shallow. there’s a story here that i think works against itself. and this being the #1 song??? it’s not that good if it even could be called good.

A heartfelt father-daughter narrative that I didn’t expect among a story of betrayal & two artists living completely different lives. I think there is some wilder potential it could have leaned into but even though they played things safe it was a fun watch. 7.5
