LucyOct 20, 2021Love the teenage daughter. She eats cereal and makes phone calls. Never once has a spooky ghost encounter. She’s just at a party while her entire family is getting coffin flopped.
Shane McAvoyOct 30, 2020no sympathy for this family. buy the ghost insurance next time

Blue GhostsTobe Hooper's all-time classic remains the gold standard. Wonderfully written and acted, and honest-to-hell scary, this movie is as much about the family as it is about the haunting. The Freelings are charming, flawed, real, and fascinating throughout. One of the all-time…

Overlong infomercial on the dangers of watching too much television.
DirkHApr 24, 202098 So I know that this movie basically traumatized a generation and my brother knew what he was doing when he showed it to me as a kid, but nowadays, I find this not quite as scary and more of an overwhelming familial suburban tale. Spielberg's unit destroyed by the shady…

super cool and fun family-friendly horror movie, it had a very nice nostalgic feeling and i loved the family and how much they cared about each other, my favorite part was the ending
KC likedPoltergeistReally good effects especially considering it was made in the 80s. I feel like I can't talk about this film without mentioning a creepy scene of construction men swooning over a 16-year-old. Very telling of the culture at the time and what happened to Heather and how she died.
MovieDaddy lovedPoltergeistAn all-time horror classic for a reason. So many horror cliches were born from this movie that it’s stamp on cinema history is undeniable. In many horror hounds’ Top Ten, it’s hard to argue against this being one of the greatest.

It's been so long since I've seen this, and I'm angry as to why this isn't part of my yearly October rotation. The family dynamic here is what sets this apart from others within the genre. I don't know how much involvement Spielberg had exactly, but he and Tobe crafted a horror classic.
Losers is "meh" onPoltergeistBoring I had such high hopes and I don't even know why I had dreams of this movie since I was small and how scary, and ground breaking this was my dreams of the idea of this movie we're better than it. Interesting for 5min and I thought I watched the wrong movie I was so confused
nevan likedPoltergeistholds up surprisingly well, great kid-friendly “horror” film from tobe hopper and spielberg. only the digital effects feel dated, with all that’s practical remaining fresh and effective, alongside super committed performances. watch skinamarink for a spiritual sequel

8.1 This movie is a classic for a reason, I love the feeling of retro horror. This movie was great and while the effects were not anything amazing, it doesn’t look too bad considering when it was made. This was a very exciting story that I would definitely return to
𝘽𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙮 lovedPoltergeistmy first time ever watching this, I loved the family and was wanting everyone of them to make it out alive including the dog!!! Let’s just say I’m happy about that! Not a boring moment, the movie dives right into it and engages you from the beginning! 10/10
calcifer dislikedPoltergeistThe concept is good, but it had some of the worst acting I’ve ever seen, incredibly annoying and unrealistic, especially from the mom. It wasn’t scary whatsoever and the only gory thing about it was the scene when the investigator was peeling his skin off.
