bella <3Aug 24, 2025haven’t quite realized how devastating it is to see the gay version of Fleabag’s “I love you, It’ll pass” scene, but here I am (btw i watched this at 1 in the morning and my insomnia got even worse as i found myself just crying after watching)

littlewomenfanpageJan 30, 2025Wow. I can finally catch my breath. This thriller-turned-romance is easily one of Sundance’s best, with great performances from Tom Blythe and Russel Tovey. Director Carmen Emmi drops us into the late 90s with grainy camcorder photography and delivers a story about police…

So embedded in a state of surveillance that you begin to see everything through grainy recorded footage. You are your own surveillant, your own cop, your own oppressor. Love that suffocating concept and how explosive Plainclothes becomes in its final moments as a result of…

Such an immensely beautiful film. From a filmmaking perspective, it’s outstanding. The editing choices made and the cinematography are so creative and rich and convey such emotion. I loved the use of cutting to the 90s home video aesthetic and pairing that with really gorgeous shots that feel…
Nah cuz why was this lowkey relatable? I’m not one to give straight men in queer roles their flowers, but I have to give it to Tom Blyth👏🏽excellent performance. And the chemistry between him and Russell 🤌🏽✨beautiful. Also, I really like the way this was shot and edited!

The way this film captured longing, fear, and love felt so authentic. Every scene carried weight, and the chemistry between the leads was magnetic. By the end, I was emotional in the best way. Quiet, powerful storytelling that really lands.
Loved the style of film,🎥 to capture himself in the eyes of the men he saw on tape. For feel such vulnerability, shame, panic- incredible acting done to portray such intricate characters/scenes. Loved the map on his palm flirt scene & the confession at the end. Well done/artistic

i loved this so much. it was so beautifully shot and the anxiety and panic attacks were realistic, something i rarely see in film, and i loved lucas’ character. the ending was crazy but so so good. i found myself getting lost in the movie multiple times it was that good.
I for sure recommend this. Great story. Great actors. The timelines was a bit discombobulating but that also adds to the tension, confusion, and frustration. The final scene, wow. And that sigh. Felt that.
