Haven't felt this much tension during a dinner scene since Shrek 2 (2004)
James (Schaffrillas)Jul 13, 2021A tremendous and weird story of the tangle and mystery of loss.
matt lynchJul 13, 2021One of the quietest and most subtly beautiful “revenge” movies I think I’ve ever seen. Still kinda shaking from watching it. Go in knowing nothing. Cage needs his Oscar nom campaign NOW.

80 What Pig demonstrates is both a subversion of the revenge sub-genre and a deceptive layer of modern indie tropes. The first act is pure noxious set-up for our dismantled expectations in the remaining hour. Beginning as a blank slate for our preconceptions of what Rob…

i can see why this is nic cage’s favorite film he’s in, it’s such a simple premise that really shines through its character moments and themes, passion and integrity vs making money and societal expectations, isolating yourself from pain/truth, and the acting is just phenomenal

wow. nicolas cage pls do more roles that fit you like this one. i never thought a nicolas cage movie would make me cry, but this has proven me wrong. although the plot is very simple, it is just enough to keep the viewer engaged through the whole movie. one of my favorites of '21
I like that Nick cage is taking more rules that he is interested in and this proves to me that’s a good thing because his performance is amazing. The story changes drastically so much that I got lost a couple times but if you like more artistic movies this is a must watch. 7.7/10

Somehow a dramatic cheesy love romantic movie without a romance and without it being cheesy. If you know what I mean (Probably only I do). Not bad.
Thought this movie was ridiculous and I don’t understand the hype behind it. From losing his pig to suddenly fighting in bare knuckle boxing matches in the sewers, it seemed ungrounded and all over the place. Character study sure but I didn’t get it. I really wanted to like it

Movie was not what I expected. It was good, but left the movie feeling some type of way.

Best movie about the transcendent beauty and power of food ever made. Restaurant workers should be required to watch this.
