Beau dislikedPearlThis was genuinely one of the greatest disappointments. I was so excited but. Nah. Not again. I don’t want to say don’t ho see it, but Mia Goth playing the main character is this movies one lifeline. “She did great!!”. Yes she did; but for what? What did all the effort get us.MID
Morgan lovedPearlpearl is my joker. i love the context this gives to X and the parallels between maxine and pearl, it’s tone is so well done, the music and setting is just perfect and the acting is next level, the ending gave me goosebumps, i can’t wait for the next movie

Joker for white women
Jay lovedPearlOh my god this movie was incredible. A24 never misses. I absolutely love the music, lighting, cinematography, and editing. Everything about this movie was perfect. I still prefer X but this is still amazing.
Orlando Ramone likedPearlI may be alone here, but I really enjoyed this movie over “X”. The story was a lot more simple and Mia Goth is even more amazing here.

SO GOOD I CANT WAIT FOR MAXXXINE
Valak dislikedPearlWhy..? This movie was so TERRIBLE!! it’s so sad to see such a reputable production company like A24 make such a incomprehensible film like pearl. They could have made this such a good film but they missed the mark by a landslide. What is this film even about?? I am embarrassed..

Five stars for Mia Goth. She was incredible
BVBeatriz ViverosIf you liked X, you’re gonna love and appreciate Pearl. It was just as intense and gory as X and Mia Goth was intoxicating and creepy.
KMKeon MartinMia Goth puts on one of the greatest performances of any actor of this generation

I now know why Pearl hates blondes. Must see if you enjoyed X
WSWendy SeguraA slasher film with a story. It has a bit of a slow pace but in a way it's nice because we learn why Pearl is the way she is. Mia Goth is killing it with her performance and yes I will be watching MaXXXine . If you liked X then you will like Pearl.
ECEmy CunninghamNo thank you

Great movie, go watch!
NENicklaus EbeyNot a good movie
SMShawn McCurdyGreat follow up to “X”. Mia Goff is INCREDIBLE in this movie. The movie kinda starts off slow but keeps turning up the creepy and crazy factor on Pearl until the end when the truth comes out. There’s a 9 minute monologue that’ll blow you away and that final shot is, well, I…

Goth is riotously entertaining throughout, but two specific scenes, in both of which the camera rests solely on her face for an extended shot, capture the full force of her unnerving talent.

It’s a strange and beguiling film, and I’m just going to lay down my cards and say that, on the back of her all-in collaborations with Lars von Trier and Claire Denis, Goth’s presence makes any movie a must-see.

Co-scripting with her director, Goth is the standout, displaying a verbal vigor and earthiness she's been unable to tap so far (not even in movies like Nymphomaniac and A Cure for Wellness).
