god dammit, berg. not bad for a ra-ra jingoist meathead who i once saw wearing Tevas and shorts at the houston ave. Whole Foods on the coldest night of the year waltzing around like directing BATTLESHIP makes you immune to mother nature. i still wrestle with the…

I love everything about what they did with the camera in this film. It’s shot so that the camera is always moving, giving it even more of a feeling of an unsteady, constantly moving world. It makes the film unconsciously more uneasy and uncomfortable to watch, especially…
Ryan DanielJan 28, 2017Man, thank God we have Mark Wahlberg. He's a rough and tough cop with a bad knee who doesn't always play by the rules. He shouldn't have been there that day, but thank God he was, because who knows how many more people would have died without our savior Mark Wahlberg?…
BrianNov 20, 2020✅86% 2016 list - Click HERE There is something about that Mark Wahlberg and Peter Berg combination that worked so well in the 2010s. From Lone Survivor to Deepwater Horizon, their films rocked. While they do typically feature characters that fall into familiar tropes, the…

ava adoreJul 23, 2024It’s been so long since I’ve seen this that it’s basically like a first watch, bc i didn’t remember much. Forgot how amazing it is. One of Mark Wahlberg's best performances. This movie has some of the most intense moments I’ve ever seen. The action is shot in a way where…

A true event that tells the story of the innocents who were affected by such a tragic event and the brave men and women who did not rest until the perpetrators paid for what they did. I cannot recommend this movie enough. It’s intense, it’s sad, it’s everything. 10/10
Patriots Day Movie Review: A Gripping and Emotional Thriller Directed by Peter Berg and starring Mark Wahlberg, Kevin Bacon, John Goodman, J.K. Simmons, and Michelle Monaghan, the film is based on the true events of that fateful day and the heroic efforts of the city's law enforcement. With its…

I had no idea more stuff happened than just the bombing of the race. I like the use of real videos/footage and the interview of the real people that some characters were based off of.
8.7 - really great film especially since it is based off the real incident and really cool how they included real interviews and all and very well told story

One of the strengths of "Patriots Day" is its strong cast, which includes strong performances from Wahlberg, John Goodman, and Kevin Bacon, among others.
They had such a strong cast and of course Mark Wahlberg never disappoints. Love to see the unity and resilience of Boston after such a tragedy!

it's a movie people need to see to understand what inspired that day to really see what all transpired overall a great movie
Amazing movie!!
Metacritic
The film, which swivels frantically between first responders, survivors, and investigators, has a percussive force, but its best scene, unbearably tense, is a quiet one, when a Chinese app designer (an excellent Jimmy O. Yang) is carjacked by the Tsarnaev brothers.
After dispensing with the sluggish setup of the film’s first act, Berg shifts into high gear, powerfully evoking the feelings of dread and white-knuckle excitement that much of America no doubt felt as the manhunt progressed.
The hurtling action, speaking louder than any dialogue, gives a stirring sense of the suffering and heroism that flowed from the terror at the Boylston Street finish line.
