Bittersweet in the best way
only because I didn’t cry as much as I thought i was going to but it was sad
What a heart break!
It can be slow at times but I think it’s realistic and the silences really tell a lot. It’s a great “what if” type of love story that you can truly relate to and may leave you in tears and pondering for days after.
This movie surprised me. I thought it was going to be some middle aged woman fantasy about reuniting with a lost childhood friend but it ended up being a pretty good tragedy about two Korean people losing each other slowly.
I enjoyed the movie but being in a relationship and seeing the husband allow the reencounter irritated me a little. Great story overall and raw but not the best movie within this trope.
This movie was beautifully filmed. It gave me butterflies.
It was amazing

Great story and cinematography is top notch.
Very mature story. One if the best movies this year.

It’s a rare movie that settles, quietly, into some part of your own experiences and memories without a speck of narrative contrivance gumming up your response to the story on the screen. Past Lives is that rarity.
Past Lives, the graceful debut feature from the Korean Canadian playwright Celine Song, stands a world apart from most of today’s slick movie fare.
Diverging from romances in which lovers are expected to move heaven, earth, and themselves in order to make a moment of love last forever, Past Lives asks us to embrace the changes that come with time.
