This movie is soo bad, I think if you have time to waste even then you should not watch it. You should stay home and look at the ceiling and that would be more interesting. Thinking back that I watched this movie makes my head hurt. Don’t watch it. I would give it negative stars if I could.
Waste of time and money. Slow and boring movie
I went in with high hopes and came out a bit disappointed. I really didn't like Count Orlock that much, and that horrible stash made it worse. It was meh at best. It's a bit to over the top and gross.
The original Mr. Steal Yo Girl
Too much talking not enough getting to the point. The plot was all over the place it felt like.
Spot on! Still the same story, true to the OG all the way back to the silent film 1920s. Jumped a couple times, but a great scare. Great cast, great setting, great everything!
I can see how the original 1922 film with Max Shreck and the original Nosferatu was look like as one of the most terrifying films in cinema horror story and its terrifying legacy will live on forever. Said as the Shadow of the Vampire
Well. This was probably one of the movies I’ve ever seen.
a good portion of the beginning is really slow, but you need to pay attention so you know thr story. Ended up being pretty good. A lot of people left thr movie because of the slow first half of the movie lol
To summarize the movie, would u rather have eternal undead backshots, or end the black plague, amazing movie highly recommend best film I’ve seen so far this year
really amazing performances from bill skarsgard and lilly rose depp, the plot was lacking and the dialogue could have been better.
nobody told me this was a love story
For me I need to see it again. It was abit of a twister but very heartfelt. A love story many might not understand.
Slow and anticlimactic, the story fell a little flat for me personally.
Great overall costume and set design. Genuinely felt that the plot was all over the place and didn’t have enough nuance. There are jump scares throughout the movie so this does have some scare factor to it
It was an amazing remake
I found the movie boring
I want my two hours back
Terrible.
Amazing movie...love the voice of bill
Self-indulgent, college art project with a budget. Not worth my money or time.
Don't waste your time. I don't really ever complain about movies but this was plain stupid. Would have walked out.
Awful. Walked out
This was a magnificent remake of Nosferatu. The storyline was terrific as well as the acting. It’s a very atmospheric movie and the storyline was perfect. The only thing I didn’t like was the main character. Nosferatu didn’t seem that scary to me. He looked more to me like a hells angels biker with his mustache instead of a vampire. Other than that the movie was a very good one.
ts was garbage
Walked out of the movie theater an hour in and I never do that this movie was trash slow and boring .
It was ok
Expected more. It was ok
No… seriously… NO! One thing is dark, and horror. And another one is…. Whatever the hell I watched. The one star is for photography.
Great cast, really captured a lot of that old school vibe. Was underwhelmed by the design of Count Orlok but overrall a great experience for fans of old school horror
Very strange and disturbing.
Ok so I get why Robert Eggers went this way cause he needed for everyone to understand that at the time of Bram Stoker the estate was fighting with the Original cast and director so great movie old story but great storytelling!
A must see, I loved they filmed it. I might see it again
Overall I rly liked this movie I thought it was good. But I could not keep up with what was happening until Willem Dafoe came on screen. There is a lot of plot holes and some scenes or repetitive scenes came up which is probably why the movie is almost 2 and a half hours long. Like we don’t need to see the same thing happen to the same character for an hour. But again overall I enjoyed it but was also extremely disturbed by some intense scenes. It’s definitely a movie you have to watch with subtitles and have to watch again and rly pay attention to what is happening cause there was a lot of stuff going on in this film.
The movie is a mix of exorcism and vampire, stupid!!
Great cast. Excellent retelling of known story
A gothic horror film. An absolute delight that pays homage to the original film. An absolute must watch
This movie was mad weird and disgusting
10/10 Willem defies
BAS.
So refreshing to see a gothic tale on the screen. The music, the filming, the acting, the costumes, everything blended well together
Loved it!!!
THIS MOVIE IS VERY GOOD. VERY CREEPY AND DARK. ACTING WAS GREAT!!!
Went in blind, didn’t expect him to hit multiple positions.
yeah this is definitely not something to watch with the family but still really good!
A great creepy love story not for the faint of heart!
Nice mesh of old and new with old lore used. Nice elements of dark, creepy, old and new. Casting is great. If fan of both originals. then see this.
Amazing movie really did justice to the orginal
boring and long-winded skip it.
A work of art on screen. I will be watching this again in theaters as well as buying it in any media form I can. Love it 🖤
Metacritic
Robert Eggers' reimagining of the 1922 classic Nosferatu delivers a visually striking but uneven Gothic horror experience, elevated by Lily-Rose Depp's captivating performance and stunning second half.
There’s something about the macabre sensuality and mossy, crepuscular gloom of this retelling of the vampire legend that leaves a mark on the audience. It’s not so much a viewing experience as a kind of haunting.
It’s not the best Dracula movie of all time, though it aspires to that. Murnau’s original still leads the pack. But it certainly is the most stylish. Eggers is a filmmaker with astonishing visual flair.
