amayaJun 30, 2021have wanted to watch this for years and for having finally gotten around to it i think i’ll give myself a pat on the back. which isn’t to say it’s boring or disturbing. it’s bleak, but that’s not what makes it a (purposeful) slog to get through. just very confrontational…

KYKMar 1, 2019I don’t wish to die, but I wish that I did not exist.
Eli HayesFeb 2, 2015I'm so torn on how to rate this. On the one hand, it was a brilliantly made film. The acting was amazing, the cinematography was amazing, and the soundtrack was AMAZING. On the other hand, I didn't relate to or like the characters, I wasn't blown away by the philosophical…

What if Before Sunrise was set amongst brutal squalor and only explored ideas of nihilistic existentialism and any romance was conveyed as violent abuse and all the joy was replaced with vomit and despair? That’s Naked and it’s perfect.

Saw this in a film class. Then saw David Thewlis on a plane the next week. Bizarre. Interesting movie. He was excellent in it. He was just fine on the plane, though.
A brilliant film which critiques the false values of society. There’s really great cinematography, directing, and an amazing performance. There are many modern films (hate to mention it but Joker) which attempt to critique society but fail, this film succeeds and does it the best

a near-masterpiece of unhinged, improvisational british beauty and chaos; david thewlis is astounding from start to finish, as are his counterparts. incredibly sharp writing, excellent cinematography, and captivating character sequences. impossible to not fall into head-first
All I can say is that we couldnt stop watching because we needed to see where these folks ended up. Very odd film.
