“I wished with all my heart that we could just leave this world behind, rise like two angels in the night and magically disappear.”
Logan KennyNov 24, 2019strange how the greatest movies make you want to die.
amanda :(Jul 13, 2020So violent and so innocent. I honestly can’t remember if Araki had this many shots of characters looking directly into the camera in his other work but that choice is working stronger than ever here. What I really appreciate about this is how he’s capturing the manipulation…

lilyJun 21, 2020jesus.. the last 5 minutes. a friend once told me that you don’t necessarily have to seek the traumas of the world out but if you stumble upon one or one is presented to you, try not to turn away. ethereal, intimate and deliberately tough to watch, because it should be.

This movie is great but heartbreaking I know I’ll never find myself watching it again, but I can’t see it ever leaving me. I’ll never feel the way I felt watching this movie for the first time again I recommend this movie
I will not rate this movie due to the subject matter however the subject matter of being SA as a child as someone who went though the trauma of that was portrayed extremely well and truly incapsulated different versions and stages of knowing what it’s like to be SA as a child

This movie shows the reality of an adult who take advantage of children and how differently each child can change + how they grow up. Both destroyed/messed up and nobody to tell them what real happened to them/how terrible it was for them to experience.Nobody to help or prevent.
one of the most perversely powerful and shocking films centering around gay youth. the narrative smartly utilizes sci-fi elements to deliver its trauma-focused narrative with phenomenal performances and writing throughout. joseph gordon-levitt is perfect
