Atom User Reviews for MaXXXine
idc i liked it just as much as i liked pearl. better than X in my opinion. loved mia goth
Mia Goth shines, she’s this generations it horror girl
Best movie out of the franchise easily!!!
Coulda been better 4.78/10
Best movie of the franchise!!
the movie was mediocre at best.
Very boring movie
Nowhere near as good/fun as X and Pearl but still pretty good Mia Goth was as great as usual. What sucked donkey balls is having to suffer a very expensive close caption showing at Universal City Walk's AMC, because it wasn't clearly indicated on the Atom Ticket website. Urgh.
Bored out of my mind for most of the movie
Excellent cast and progression
Probably the most boring movie ive seen all year.
Watchable, main actress is good but the plot suffers at times
ugh good
Great addition to the X series. Enjoyed Kevin Bacon as the sleazy investigator.
Best movie out of the franchise!! Must see for sure
An awful movie all around
Mia goth is a great actress and overall the movie was good. wasn't sure I liked the reveal but nothing is perfect
It was a nice addition to Pearl and X, we enjoyed seeing more of the story. I'm pretty sure there might be another one. I guess we wait and see.
Mia Goth did an incredible job as the producer and Maxine <3
Not the best. But like it's Mia goth soo like if you like her then go watch it but ehhh beware
too much language, semi predictable, some of the script could have been better
Not as good as the others but I enjoyed watching this one I did like it
best movie of 2024 🫡
Maxine is freakin awesome
Absolutely amazing, loved the gritty feel
Cruel violence. Left show
complete plot twist that really brings the movie home, Mia Goth was fantastic as always. highly recommend seeing!
This movie is a waste of time
Great cast, the movie fell a little flat and wasn't really the horror i thought it would be. More like an 80s flick, like "Angel" or a Charles Bronson movie. Well done and good enough, just not really what I was expecting!
girls get it done
Metacritic
While there’s nothing on the level of Pearl‘s climactic monologue or credit-roll close-up, Goth still turns this revenge-of-the-final-girl parable into superior flashback pulp.
While there’s some payoff in the many visual callbacks to ’80s-and-earlier genre movies, at some point the filmmaker lost sight of how to best serve Goth a third time.
West mixes some wit in with the gore here, even if the payoff, alas, doesn’t rise to the level of the buildup. By then, though, “MaXXXine” has delivered enough nostalgia regarding its genre to merit a walk down its alleys, and not incidentally, the showcase and sendoff that Goth’s character deserves.
