broke men propaganda needs to be stopped update: Celine Song can say all she wants about this review being a classist way for capitalism to colonize love, but she still hired a zionist MAGA (Dasha Nekrasova) to star in this movie. What a hypocrite money hungry director who…

i thought i had walked into the wrong theater during the first five minutes
i was so hyped. it was bad. way too slow paced, she ends up with the WRONG man neither men were right for her she was annoying asf 1/10
Genuinely what was this. The dialogue was repetitive and it made no sense. We just kept circling around to the same topics with no resolution. Every time I thought it was ending it would inch forward again. And making Pedro squat down like that and then ZOOMING OUT was a crime.

I hope people will look back at this movie after 5-10 years and consider it a classic. Such a beautiful story about love and dating and marriage. Dakota, Chris, and Pedro were all so charming. I could ramble on about the dialogue and scenes and how it all connects with their characters but I’ll…
no yea like i understand but it felt like they had a strong idea on the movie but didn’t go any deeper and just started filming yk? and the main conflict with the her client wasn’t even fully fleshed out it almost felt just pushed aside. pedro wasn’t even hit for some reason
Quite cliche, predictable and lacks the feeling of actual chemistry. I think the side story involving Sophie was done well into highlighting the dangers of dating, but Dakota Johnson’s dialogue in moments with Chris Evans felt forced and, again, cliche towards the end. 6/10

In past lives Celine strong got the idea of long lost love right. In materials she fell flat. The first half was wonderful. Dakota was wonderful. But nothing/no one else really fit. There were many layers and some were good, but as a whole it just wasn’t there.
I expected more rom com vibes… it’s a weird mix. The pacing isn’t quite as slow as past lives, but I still found myself wanting it to get to the point. Oddly Pedro actually feels like poor casting… he’s wasted a bit on this script.
This starts the dialogue on something vital in our current dating culture in an earnest dialectical way without feeling dialectical. The earnestness feels really reflected in its cinematography. Dialogue strikes a good balance between being naturalistic and falling into whatever…

I bought my tickets in advance and this was a HUGE disappointment. Took my partner to see it and was not impressed. Not worth it to see in the theaters. Also kinda depressing and a sad look on life and love.
ACAndre ClarkeThis movie was made worse by the fact AMC DeKalb refused to turn ON either the AC or the ceiling fans. Deplorable
BBBetyna Bericenot your typical romantic comedy, but it does pose a lot of questions around modern dating. at times it feels like a horror film and at others very sweet.

Marketing really failed on this one. The overall theme kept getting lost, as if each time I sensed I understood the message it was completely wiped and reinvented. It had so many good parts but more bad parts to go along with it. The writing was mid.
RTRay TilleyA sweet, simple story that nonetheless plumbs the substance and mystery of relationships, while offering “easter eggs” and echoes for the movie buff.

I felt like the movie was really thought-provoking and also subversive. Beautifully shot and very quotable, I look forward to having more long conversations about modern dating jumping off of themes in this movie. The dialogue didn’t really feel specific enough for real…
AFabbygail fenelonBad marketing. Unrealistic. Boring. Lied to.
