Moviegoers are saying
Masters of the Universe delivers a polarizing nostalgia trip that has audiences either embracing its campy charm or mourning their childhood expectations. While critics savage the film's silly tone and weak plot, fans are surprisingly united in praising Jared Leto's unexpectedly stellar performance as a 'sassy gay skeleton' Skeletor, complete with gym bro aesthetics and corporate villain energy.

Logan Kershaw is "meh" onMasters of the UniverseThe action/fights are phenomenal, and 90% of the time it’s beautiful to look at. That’s about as far as the compliments go. This movie is made for 40-50 year old lobotomised man children, there’s absolutely no sense of logic and nothing makes sense, the movie makes no effort to explain anything…
zxki is "meh" onMasters of the UniverseMasters of the Pooniverse. I was hoping to enjoy this, but my 6/10 rating still feels way too generous. In some ways, the casting is spot on, but in most, it falls short. The visual work, from practical effects to CGI, looks fantastic in some parts and iffy in others. I wanted and expected a…

What makes it all worth it is a stellar soundtrack, hilarious jokes, and Galitzine playing the sweetest, most caring version of He-Man fans have ever gotten.
Thomas Joyce likedMasters of the UniverseSurprisingly not bad! Certainly silly and often cheesy, but definitely by design to match the cartoon on which it’s based. I fear it may not work for all… I really appreciate the effort made to use a lot of practical sets over green screen, of course it’s there, but more sets were kicking about…
Corban Williams watched_neutraldMasters of the UniverseThis movie tried to be Guardians of the Galaxy and failed. The CGI was decent, but the dialogue was awful and the character arcs found wanting. Maybe being more aware of the source material would help, but from an objective outside perspective, I can safely say I won’t be watching this again.

Needs the person who did the soundtrack for guardians of the galaxy. Should have leaned more into 80s glam or power rock over wordless guitar solos
Ben LaLonde likedMasters of the UniverseI mean it was fun, a little cheesy but yk it was going to be cause it was he man so by that reasoning it was good
Martin Latour lovedMasters of the UniverseLoved it. Mix of Flash Gordon and John Carter. Right up my alley. Best score I've heard in a long time.

This was worst than the 1st movie. I was very disappointed in how silly this whole movie. The strength of He-Man is officially diluted.
PCPaul CezanneWhat a fun movie!
TGTiffany GEntertaining, music with the action scenes makes it awesome, great cast too.

RRROSALIND RITTERThis movie has great visual effects, great music, and an important storyline nestled between all the action.
AMAngel Menahands-down, a great movie i always fall asleep on some movies but not this one it was good

It is well done, they definitely paid homage to the action figures & cartoon, cranking up the nostalgia. I would imagine this will do well enough to justify a sequel.
RCRozie CTAnd it shall be remained as HE TRIED as in HE TRIED to make this screenplay campy and capture the nostalgia of the 80’s. Amazon did not deliver the goods this time. The score is worth listening to.
RSRandy SicklesReally Great Family Movie. No Gay or any sex. We need more movies like this. You don't have to be afraid to take your kids to see it.

Best to keep in mind that the whole franchise exists not to advance the craft of storytelling but the magic of merchandising. Forget it, friends, it’s Toytown.

Nostalgia is a hell of a drug, and fans are apt to overdose on it with this rollicking live-action affair.

The zany tone of this appealing action-comedy-fantasy combo is a lot like that of 2023’s very good “Dungeons Dragons: Honor Among Thieves” in how it goofily distills high nerdery for the masses and has a blast doing so.
