    fine. very made-for-tv (which it kind of was, I guess?) Best parts were 1) John Waters—they should have cut like half of the talking heads to make room for more John Waters—and 2) anytime Mary Oliver was reading her own poetry. Why in god’s name they kept cutting off…

    Really wanted to love this documentary, but it fell short in a few ways for me! It’s challenging to make a complete story out of an elusive poet, and the visuals were lovely, it just felt a bit scattered from a storytelling perspective
