The one where Matt Leblanc fights a Gary Oldman xenomorph in a black hole. William Hurt highfives an alien through wormhole. I thought the kid was Dewy from Malcolm in the Middle the whole time. This is the movie Christopher Nolan wished he made. This one is going in…

This is like the fake sci-fi movie playing on a TV in the background of the actual movie you're watching.

I had misremembered the kid in this as being the actor who played Dewey on Malcolm in the Middle. He's not. I'm sure the guy they got doing it is fine but this could've been something special with Dewey at the wheel.

One hundred and thirty minutes. That's how long this film is. One hundred. And Thirty minutes. I'm basically giving it half a star for Gary Oldman and another half for not being the worst film ever made, but it isn't too far off. It's fascinating to watch, just to see…

“Danger Will Robinson, Danger!” Wow, look at this CGI! Unfortunately this film has not aged well. The CGI monkey is appalling.  I forgot that Joey from Friends tried to have an acting career! Heather Graham is solid and so is William Hurt and Gary Oldman especially, these…

"Lost in Space" is a 1998 film directed by Stephen Hopkins. Naturally it is based on the CBS show "Lost in Space" (1965-1968) that was a perfect dosage of nostalgia for the late 90's period. As life on earth is quickly loosing the ability to support life, the Robinson…

It's been a long time since I've seen Lost in Space and if I'm being honest... I remember liking it. Here it is 27 years later and I realize something that I never noticed before.... This movie is terrible. Now when I say that, let me be clear. It's a really good…

Hardware doesn't make a movie; characters, be they Blawp or human, do. And as so often happens with such outsize undertakings, they are overwhelmed by the gizmos. Technology, one. Astros, naught.

Time-travel cliches, female characters who exert authority only so we'll laugh at the pussy-whipped males, dialogue that's neither self-mocking nor serious, and an ostentatious though not particularly exciting production design keep the movie from taking off.
