Yeah I just saw the movie. Yes you are right it’s like two scripts in one, but I feel they make it work at the end of the movie. Also beautiful fight scenes, but like you said. It’s ruin by the camera cuts. The only example I can give without spoiling it. If you seen the Snake eyes movie with that shaky camera that takes you out of the movie. As well . I think Jackie Chan stunt team Should’ve taken over the fight scenes. if that team still around lol. So overall Jackie was great, Ralph is great and the new cast . The cinamtorgraphy of New York is amazing. Me being from ny . Makes me want to explore my city even more. People who love cobra Kia and the karate kid will love this movie as well I agree. So my rating 7.5 if it wasn’t for the shaky camera fights scenes I would have giving it a higher score. So go see this movie and support franchise. It’s family friendly and sets up for more films in the future. #thekaratekid #cobrakai
I thought it was gonna suck but it prove me wrong. Me and my daughter loved it

The overall production is bland and overcooked and the reliance on nostalgia and regurgitation often renders things dull and routine.

The secret weapon, though, is dimpled star Ben Wang, the 25-year-old lead in the Disney+ series American Born Chinese.

There is at once a roughshod, zippy energy coupled with a sedateness here that results from the simple fact that the film never quite knows how to square the pure awkwardness of two teachers — two stars from different eras of a franchise — instructing a karate kid at once.
