Lila is "meh" onIrreversibleWtf ?! The rape scene traumatized me forever. This film hurt me very, very badly. It's far too intrusive and disturbing. The story + the characters + the looping camera make you want to vomit. I wouldn't recommend seeing it - waste of time, it'll just traumatize you for nothing.

The plot is one of the prime examples of the double standard of horror/intense filmmaking. Sexual violence is evil, while physical violence isn’t.

TW: sexual assault, extreme violence ; although extremely graphic I think it’s meant to sharply contrast the sweet moments of the end. despite being similar in length, the violence is so horrifying it’s virtually never ending. Plays with concept of fate.
