The best horror movies are the ones set in broad daylight, with a legitimately terrifying concept that that doesn’t overstretch the reality of your imagination. Not a single jump scare, not a single loud noise. Just pure dread.

Maybe they should have taken it slower and made it a sort of “find the imposter among us” sort of deal, but it was still great. The scene where they plan to convert the baby really started the more dramatic part of the film.

Equally good to the 1978 remake. The central romance isn't specially compelling, but at least it's used to explore what it means to be human.

IOTBS is pretty campy at times, and it kinda drags at a certain point, but the acting was actually good, and the interior shots are great.

This is the most disturbing spin on the invasion premise, because it still permits the simple, classical predator/parasite interpretation, but, at the same time, makes the infiltration total, because the snatchers don’t just take your body, your memories, your brains—they take you. All of you.
