Moviegoers are saying
This latest Insidious entry divides audiences between those craving nostalgic scares with Elise Rainier and franchise fatigue critics who find the plot AI-generated and disconnected from the series. While some fans declare it the best since the original with edge-of-your-seat tension, others mock everything from the Ozzy Osbourne-cosplaying antagonist to dental horror so intense it made one viewer question their dentistry career.

Daniel lovedInsidious: Out of the FurtherLiterally the best insidious i’ve watched. And the boyfriend Nick ugh i cant even he is so damn hot i LOVED him
H likedInsidious: Out of the FurtherMy goat returned (Elise). Extremely upset she wasn’t taken out of the further for a new movie. Tense with good jump-scares whilst stupidly hilarious- demons were panting and barking. Cinema was full of farts, burps, coughs and Samsung ringtones. Many your mom joke opportunities
IT_watchlist watched_neutraldInsidious: Out of the Further0/10 should be listed as comedy

Alexis is "meh" onInsidious: Out of the Further6/10 Never been a big fan of mainstream horror but it has a cool concept and pretty a good ending. Cheap jumpscares here and there but is good at building tension as well(mostly because it’s silent until the jumpscare) but then again it’s mainstream horror.
Yar likedInsidious: Out of the FurtherQuite different from the older titles, but I still liked it. I love the way these movies portray these ghosts and demons.

Thanks Insidious now I’m afraid of the dentist again. I went in with low expectations but was surprised. This was genuinely creepy with some nice villains. The main baddie nailed his creepy voice and the acolytes were freaky in their own right. The ending was a bit messy but still a fun horror…
k likedInsidious: Out of the Further*split into five parts bc of the non-sub character limit the insidious series has been my comfort movie since i was a kid, and it became my standard for horror because of its unique plot; it isn’t just a film full of scary stuff, but actually has a rich storyline. (1/5)
Nikos likedInsidious: Out of the FurtherThe atmosphere and acting were great, but this barely felt like Insidious. Spirits becoming physical, visible to everyone, moving people/objects and even making a house disappear felt way too much like a superhero movie. As its own movie, I’d have enjoyed it way more.

It all mainly serves to indicate that this is a series that has long reached the point of steadily diminishing returns.

There’s one memorable set piece involving a living room blanket fortress, but such moments are overwhelmed by a combination of overly-familiar shocks and a huge amount of gross-out mouth trauma.

Raw thrills, visual or psychological, would be fine if they didn’t come alongside so many gobbledygook explainers. Trying to pump logic into this is foolish and tiresome.
