A pretty good movie if you turn it off once they get to Peru
James (Schaffrillas)Sep 30, 2012Gripping drama about a dementing geriatric Archeologist who thinks he's having an adventure while in reality he's being spoon fed porridge.
DirkHSep 2, 202084 With each revisit of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, I have less and less patience for people who disregard it outright. Barring any overt nostalgic sentimentality, which feels based on Spielberg's contribution rather than Lucas', this film flies…

Spielberg's classicism v Lucas retrofuturism: dawn of justice. A wild union of 30s serials, 50s B-movies, and the 2000s blockbuster.
Josh LewisMay 5, 2015You may have heard that there’s a scene in Steven Spielberg’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull in which the cinema’s most iconic archaeologist survives an atomic blast by hiding inside of a lead refrigerator. The incident occurs about 20 minutes into the…

this is actually a very good movie y’all just scared of aliens admit it
˗ˏˋ suspirliam ˊˎ˗Feb 10, 2020Obviously this isn't as alchemical as the others and certainly contains its fair share of cringes, but it's also packed with top-tier Spielberg action sequences (especially in the terrific first half) and wild, indelible images like Indy in front of the mushroom cloud or…

Not as bad as the internet would have you believe. I liked this more than The Last Crusade.
I’m giving it a thumbs up because I’m an Indiana Jones fan but this is easily the weakest instalment in the franchise. Ford still gets away with it despite his age but Labouf seems too light and despite a great supporting cast the plot is muddled and the action feels cartoonish
-Why Aliens? -Why Communism? -Why a crystal skull? -Why Huxley? -Why the Traitor guy? -Why bring Marion back? -Why Aztec? -Why a bunch of natives living in the walls? -Why marriage? -Why introduce Indie’s son when he already had Shorty? Bring Shorty back (Better than Raiders)

It’s ridiculous but it’s great. A really interesting dynamic having Indy now being the father figure. Aliens? A great inclusion. Fun action sequences that still feel reminiscent of the original trilogy. Rating H- 7/10 L- 7.5/10
It might be because I grew up on this film but I still enjoy it to this day. Definitely weakest of the Indy films (until Dial of Destiny) but still enjoyable in my opinion, unlike the newest flick
