Contains what I think is the single most terrifying gasp ever and it’s arguably scarier than most horror movies I’ve seen combined.

why is radiohead’s “you and whose army” in this movie twice. why is “like spinning plates” also in this movie. why are those the only songs on the soundtrack. why did villeneuve make a perfect film and then hire me in my freshman year of college as the music supervisor. and…

rewatching this was like eating glass. this is denis villeneuve's masterpiece. the plot twist alone is one of the most alarming things i've ever seen on film

This is one of those movies that forces you to sit in silence for an hour after watching it.

Absolute motherfcker of a movie. The movie was a banger, albeit the story may be a bit lacking. definitely a must watch for everyone. do not search up spoilers before watching pls. to ruin the climax of this movie is to commit a sin worse than murder.

This wins the award for the biggest plot twist. What a film. Stunning cinematography, a complex story that thoughtfully explores war and religion, and—kid you not—the most horrifying gasp I’ve ever witnessed on screen. I had the exact same reaction

A thriller that twists and turns with an understated power that will have you gripping the arm of your seat. Terrific stuff.

Incendies is occasionally compelling, but also overlong and vexing in the ways it draws out a shocking conclusion that we unravel long before the characters do.

A mystery, a melodrama, a prison film, and a love story, Incendies is foremost a scream of rage at a society destroyed by religion and by men.
