Synopsis

    It’s films like In Cold Blood that remind me why I reserve the full 5 stars for films that speak to me on a higher sacred level. Has a film ever been blocked and lit more exquisitely than this? They have not. It’s peak cinematography.

Why Capote liked the movie so much (or said he did) isn't entirely clear, for though it's a gripping piece of American Gothic, it's as thematically timid as it is formally flamboyant.
