Lains lovedI SwearStarted off 2026 with one of the best made films I’ve ever seen. Such an incredibly moving story, everytime I thought things must be looking up and drawing to the end, something else happened. Gut wrenching to watch at times. Very inspiring and educating. Definitely recommend.

I Swear is not looking for pity. It’s looking for empathy and understanding, as if to say there is no such thing as good or bad disabilities.

There’s a hint of repetition in the mid-section and a schmaltzy third act courtroom scene. But all flaws are overcome by Aramayo’s technically precise and heart-rending turn. It’s astonishing.
