The problem with all these films where Vincent Price plays a villainous character is that he's always so much more charismatic than the protagonists that you can't help but want him to come out on top. Is that really a problem, actually?
SamSep 23, 2021This film is less than 90 minutes long, and still has a 10 minute intermission. I was truly born in the wrong time.
RemoboNov 4, 2018Enjoyable career revitalizer for Price but not one of my go to watches when it comes to his huge catalogue of macabre, still though, House of Wax has a lot going for it—nice camera work, an amazing setting, shadowy street chases, long takes, and the great ending reveal that…

The dude enthusiastically catching paddle balls in his mouth will haunt me for the rest of my days.

This movie is so creepy. It is very clear what is going on from the beginning but it is still interesting to see how the main character avoids doom.
Great suspense and horror throughout, this is my idea of horror with suspenseful story and music rather than relying on Gore and blood

Incredible visuals that added to the incredible acting and plot. A must watch for fans of classic horror and Vincent Price!
Remarkably creepy, even by today’s standards. Very original plot and idea and a dazzling performance by Vincent Price.
