The Haunting of Hamilton High. A Carrie meets Elm Street supernatural slasher jam—complete with a Night of the Creeps worthy 1950’s intro with funeral pyre prom queen, a confessional booth massacre, possessed horny tongued nightmare rocking chair, death by locker crushing,…
Ian WestNov 3, 2023The only 80s movie bold enough to say "what if the 50s were actually NOT as nice and idyllic as all the other pop culture of this decade says?" I can't believe I didn't know this existed until last week. It rules.
Patrick WillemsApr 20, 2021This is a Carrie spoof comedy, and there’s nothing anyone can say or do to convince me otherwise. But seriously, this was such a fun time. Initially, it starts out as any stale, poorly acted teen drama, but as our title character properly possesses our other lead girl…

If anyone's looking to introduce their friends to the world of 80's horror "Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II" would be a great place to start. This movie has it all. You want blood? Got it! You want boobs? They got ya (un)covered. How about some wild hairstyles, outfits and…
kat🕷Apr 1, 2017A prime example of post elm street fun. This movie gets better everytime I watch it and tbh I like this better than most elm street sequels.
Ian WestApr 30, 2025This is a sequel in the way Halloween III: Season of The Witch was a sequel: “In name only” and tied to the original only by the event, in this case, prom night. Though the original is somewhat iconic with Jaime Lee Curtis in the lead role, THIS prom queen is far more…

i'm so shocked by how much better this is than the first prom night. the first movie was quite boring to me so i wasn't expecting much from the sequel, but it's got everything i could possible want from an 80s slasher. there are some fun characters, brilliant humor, cool…
haleyApr 30, 2025How have I slept on this film for so long? I mainly avoided it because it wasn’t a slasher in the vein of the first film. But what a colossal error I made because Prom Night 2 absolutely rules! This film concerns Vicki as she slowly becomes possessed with the spirit of a…
JesseApr 30, 202450’s nostalgia filtered through 80’s slasher trash. Much less a Halloween or Prom Night descendant, much more like Carrie meets A Nightmare on Elm Street and all the better for it.

mary lou the GOAT i love female horror villains SO MUCH, even if she is freaky af this is the amount of horror the first movie needed, i loved the hallucinations and possessions, the kills were much cooler too superior sequel ofc
One of those rare sequels that's actually pretty good, especially since the original is only really a "cult classic." I also caught similarities to "Carrie" very quickly. Some creative kills here, and the ending is bonkers!

Unexpectedly good schlocky fun. In my opinion, is better than the previous, with more memorable scenes and kills. It’s so wacky and off the walls.
I actually liked this better than the first one. I thought the whole possession story worked much better than the slasher one. it was very fun!

Unique sequel with an interesting plot. The movie was a little goofy but what should you expect from an 80s horror movie.
much better than the first but it’s nothing great. good pacing, decent scariness. had zero to do with the first movie.
