The sequel gets a little playful. It wants to be Back to the Future and Groundhog's Day. Also, there are elements of Final Destination. I love how it plays with time and different dimensions. I would NOT recommend seeing this movie if you haven't seen the first one, as the…

Was it as good as the first one…arguable, was it still an action packed thriller movie that deserves a high rating…yes. Personally I still loved this one, although not as much as the first one, still, would recommend as one of those top tier thriller-comedies.
Saul Blumberg dislikedHappy Death Day 2UThis movie is atrocious. Don’t watch this movie. Please. It’s so bad. If you value your time- heed my advice and avoid this movie at all costs.
reviews_by_cinemafreak lovedHappy Death Day 2URothe has done it again. She never not misses with these films. I can’t wait to see the next one. I cannot wait for more Tree and Carter they are my favorite horror couple (other than Dewey and Gale from the Scream franchise). 5/5 stars.

Rothe is asked to go even further here in terms of balancing the horror and comedy elements. She’s still a lot of fun to watch and is more than able to do most of the heavy lifting.
Ambrose dislikedHappy Death Day 2U3/10, what i liked about the first one was them not trying to explain the groundhog day scenario, and this one tries to explain it in a very stupid way
Isa lovedHappy Death Day 2UJust as good as the first one

This one was really good too!! Just finished watching, was glad it wasn’t the main character who was going to be stuck in the time loop at the very end. Overall good acting, didn’t expect the killer (2nd time over) to be the Cheating Husband. I Recommend!!
Superbad likedHappy Death Day 2UJust watch the first one, then watch this one for a good viewing experience
MK likedHappy Death Day 2UThis one was funny, a little less suspense, better writing and plot

DSDwain SumpterWorse 5$ ever spent. This has to be the dumbest movie I’ve ever seen in my life. Couldn’t believe people in the theater were even clapping throughout the movie like they were on meds or something. I regret seeing this movie and I regret paying 5$ to see it as well. Please…

It was pretty boring because it was just very repetitive the first one was definitely better. There were not really any jump scares and it was just over all not as good as the first.
MMMax MaGreat Movie!! More funny than scary. A Must See!!

Happy Death Day 2U is a passable way to throw away 100 minutes if you’re willing to turn off your brain and pretend it’s making sense.

Along the way, though, 2U throws enough wrinkles into the first film's action — if you don't remember it well, rewatch it before seeing this — to engage us.
