Best horror movie sequel in my opinion. Also my favorite movie from the franchise, mostly because I like the kills more in this one. This movie continues right after the events of the other one so I recommend watching the first one first. Great movie, 10/10

Charlie Mills likedHalloween IIA decent sequel, the hospital setting could of been better and used better techniques for Michael. Not as good as the original. Soundtrack wasn’t as good. More like a cartoonish feel to the theme of Halloween which was a bit odd. Skipping the next one and going on to 4 6.5/10

A Great movie. Ups the last one easily. I loved the reveal that Lori Strode and Michale where Related and it gave a great motive unlike the Blum House Trilogy. We see more brutal kills the first one because of the bigger budget. Also it picks up right after the first one. 10/10
Matthew Lillards No.1 Fan likedHalloween IIA good sequel, but not quite a great one. The new characters are pretty weak, the pacing feels very stereotypical for a slasher, and it honestly doesn’t even need to exist, but it still has its merits. Good kills, great cinematography, and a fantastic score make it pretty fun.

(everyone hates the 4th mask)

For the most part, Halloween II is a retread of “Halloween” without that movie's craft, exquisite timing, and thorough understanding of horror.

There's some variety to the crimes, as there is to the characters, and an audience is likely to do more screaming at suspenseful moments than at scary ones. The gore, while very explicit and gruesome, won't make you feel as if you're watching major surgery. The direction and camera work are quite competent, and the actors don't look like amateurs.
