KAIJULY: GODS AND MONSTERS Another one of those movies I’ve been familiar with the poster for a while. And I mean, look at it; that’s some intriguing poster. The film itself, it’s okay. The little violence and kills we got are pretty neat, especially the first kill. The…

I was about to revisit The Manitou but decided to pop this in first. Jaws in the woods with a bear yadda yadda... this thing is fun on its own terms—plus body parts being swatted savagely all over the place by a menacing 18 foot grizzly bear is exactly what I needed…

It’s not as much fun as Day of the Animals, but it’s still a damn good time! If nothing else, the attempts to duplicate Jaws with a grizzly bear are pure gold. The gore is even stronger than I remembered so I love that it has a PG rating and that ending is enough for me to…

Just as fun on rewatch as it was on my initial viewing. Grizzly obviously pales in comparison to something like Steven Spielberg's Jaws, but it is still a fun animal attacks movie with a pretty explosive ending. 💥 A solid movie to start Michelle and I's nature-run-amok…

While I would stop short of placing Grizzly in the top-tier of Jaws ripoffs, William Girdler’s film does score several points for being the first out of the gate, hitting theaters right under a year after Spiels’ film forever altered the cinematic landscape. Grizzly is also…

The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs - Season 5 - Episode 9 - Film 2 It's not your typical summer in the national park. Sure the back packers are plenty but this year they have company in the form of an eighteen foot tall Grizzly Bear who has developed a taste for…

Grizzly is not only clumsily plotted, photographed and edited, it is also downright rude when it insists on showing us the bear lopping off an arm or decapitating a horse. Because it's not good enough to earn the right to scare us, I would hope intelligent adults would avoid it and that parents would give it a personal X.
