Moviegoers are saying
Greenland 2: Migration delivers exactly what disaster movie fans expect - Gerard Butler leading his family through post-apocalyptic Europe with predictable but entertaining results. While audiences appreciate the action-packed sequences and visual effects, most agree it's a 'wait for streaming' sequel that relies heavily on convenient plot devices and helpful strangers appearing at just the right moment.

For all of its dourness, there is still a bit of entertainment to be found. It's just too bad the film is taking itself far too seriously.

For their part, the Garrity family is asked to carry more weight with less substance, and their non-characters struggle to support the emotional burden of an intimate life-or-death journey, the destination of which is a lot sillier than it was the last time around.

Greenland 2: Migration takes itself seriously in all the wrong ways; it wants to maintain a safe distance from the real world, while urging the audience to shed a tear over some imagined nobility.
