overall liked the movie, good story, and really draws you in. that being said the ending made me mad, it ended so abruptly and gave no insight to what happened in the future. did the truth come out about what she had done? was the kid actually his? does anyone speak out finally??
Now this is film! Great plot, twists and recovery. Fantastic story telling. Fincher take a bow! 10/10

Confusing to follow. I couldn’t really piece together what happened in the end. Mid.
Shocking and delightfully sick... as smart as it is compelling, a wild ride as a mystery and a wickedly entertaining portrait of a marriage between two people who really don’t know each other.

Metacritic
A glossy, empty and ultimately unsatisfying — if undeniably entertaining — movie.
Gone Girl is a terrific movie, everything the book and its fans deserve.
The movie, with some of the trappings of a murder mystery, makes its points with blunt force. Fun seldom figures in this adaptation, which is overlong and mysteriously unaffecting. Still, Mr. Fincher's film has many fascinations.
