miss the days when movies were just like "what if pepe le pew had a gun"
demi adejuyigbeJun 1, 2019What’s aged poorly is hilarious and what hasn’t is neat.
Taylor WilliamsNov 8, 2020I would have enjoyed this a lot more if James Bond wasn’t a sexual predator

adamboltJan 3, 202065 It makes sense why so many know this as the Ultimate Bond Formula, whether in terms of iconography, pacing, and the many other puzzle pieces that make up a movie like this, and it's practically a highlight reel for the first thirty minutes, but it's all surface. So…

Wasn’t sure why Criterion Channel added the early James Bond films — movies that are always available to stream somewhere, although they bounce around more than Bond in a faulty jetpack — until I realized Criterion also added their Goldfinger commentary track from their…
Matt SingerNov 15, 2022Whenever I sit down to watch Goldfinger I tend to let it’s ‘flaws’ spring to mind. The usual stuff about how Bond spends half the movie incarcerated, Goldfinger’s scheme has some big holes in it and there’s a never ending tangent where an inconsequential character is killed…

I quite liked this Bond movie lots of action and lot of the usual things you’ll enjoy in a James Bond movie I only have one gripe and that’s some of the sexist comments of course you have to take into consideration it was from the 60’s but it can be a bit much but It’s still okay
Dyl lovedGoldfingerWhile it’s a really good bond movie it’s not the best I’ve seen and I’ve only seen 3. It’s overrated but it’s still pretty good as that plot tiers of his final plan was a pretty good idea. Overall 8.9/10 the Aston Martin and gadgets are the best yet but the Cinematography isn’t.
Platypus Lord is "meh" onGoldfingerSurprised that people love this. Didn't DISLIKE it, just underwhelmed. Too chessy for me & parts of the plot didn't make sense. Connery is great, but the womanization is even more cringy than new Bond. But I liked the soundtrack, scenery, gadgets, and a couple action sequences.

A brilliant score, memorable villains, and a well-rounded plot. With its signature Bond wit, humor, and over-the-top action, it delivers everything a fan could want. The ending feels a bit abrupt, but it’s still a standout entry in the series. Rating: H- 9/10, L- 8/10
Mtrees likedGoldfingerI’ll lump all the James Bond films up to Casino Royale into one review. I love them all and there’s very few instalments that I don’t enjoy. I hope they keep making them till the day I die, fantastic films! 13/07/2023 (Historical Review)
Matthew Golad lovedGoldfingerClassic James Bond. Fun. Action packed. Corny one liners. That stuff aged well. The womanizing is a classic element of Bond but hasn’t aged as well. It’s a product of its time. The 4k Blu-ray looked and sounded wonderful. Great bad guy.

By far the best one yet. With Auric Goldfinger as antagonist, the legendary Aston Martin and the iconic gadgets, the movie defines the classic Bond formula at its finest. (Except that he is a sexual predator)
Jvss likedGoldfinger7/10 ⭐️. Preferred it over the second film, i liked the bond girl in this film (not sure if i can write her name without getting a warning), pacing of the film was good & the story didn’t drag.
ansh likedGoldfingerIntriguing Bond movie with iconic, suspenseful scenes and Connery’s classic charm. It hasn’t aged super well and dragged on a little bit but definitely a worthy watch!

Of all the Bonds, Goldfinger is the best, and can stand as a surrogate for the others. If it is not a great film, it is a great entertainment, and contains all the elements of the Bond formula that would work again and again.
