i need to stop giving these public domain horror movies a chance
cobFeb 11, 2026Excruciatingly slow paced, particularly the first 45 minutes or so. Every line of dialogue is delivered painfully slow as well as if that somehow makes the film creepier. (It doesn’t). Overuses the dream sequence fake out jump scare in those first 45 minutes also. When we…
Kevflix And ChillFeb 11, 2026"Madness would be kinder." At least you tried. I enjoyed the short, which acted as a proof of concept, and looked forward to the bigger picture. But I don't think the director was able to achieve it. It ended up being disjointed and confusing as it kept jumping around.…
The Moving Pictures Review - Feb 11, 2026
'Gale: Yellow Brick Road' is a spooky homage to Baum's classic tales grounded by a contemporary exploration of generational trauma (yay!) and resultant mental health struggles. Much like my recent positive experience with Markiplier's directorial debut 'Iron Lung,' I was…

MelFeb 11, 2026Such a missed opportunity. Actually makes me angry. The short was so good! And it just felt like, okay, if we can build on that, we’ve got something… right?? Nope! Unbelievably slow and disjointed. Clunky. BORING! I think there are some story ideas here, but damned if I…

I wanted to love this film. I loved the original short film they made to get funding. I wish they would have continued that for this one. The pacing in this was just so slow. It just kind of dragged. I was meh on it until the third act which was decent enough to get it to like but barely. I have no…
