Moviegoers are saying
This Broadway-tinged dramedy starring Jack Champion and Bryan Cranston divides audiences with its sharp first half that spirals into controversial territory after a pivotal moment. While praised for witty dialogue and strong performances, particularly from Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, viewers feel betrayed by unexpected Christian film elements and frustrated by the film's dramatic tonal shift midway through.

The 95-minute runtime also aids the dramedy’s success: Short, silly, and sweet, the perfect recipe for audience satisfaction.

Quirky characters and an unpredictable story combine for a film that will break your heart while making you laugh.

By turns heartfelt and, especially in the ghost tête-à-têtes, irksome, the movie is helped substantially by its cast, especially Cranston, who brings a welcome sincerity to a quixotic, potentially cloying character.
