Innocent fun is twisted into terror in this nail-biting thriller. An invitation to a state of the art and top secret new escape room complex seems like a dream come true for six puzzle enthusiasts. The strangers get to do what they love: assemble clues to free themselves from confinement in a series of clever locked-room conundrums.
The complex is not quite what it appears to be, however, and the players soon realize that the puzzles have deadly consequences. Failure is not an option. Can the crew think their way out of the fiendish trap — which seems to have been designed specifically for them?

- After the death of five Polish teenagers, killed by fire in a real life tragedy which occurred within an Escape Room in Poland, the release date of the film was pushed back a few months in a number of countries, out of respect for the girls who were killed.
- When speaking with her roommate in the dorm room, Zoey pronounces Leonhard Euler's surname as "YOU-ler" rather than "OY-ler", a name any physicist or mathematician or student of those fields would know very well.

Typical, reminds me of The Cube. Don’t waste your time, it’s not terrifying at all.
Great movie would watch again
A cutthroat little thriller that's surely more fun than most of the riddle-solving lock-ins currently springing up around the country.
If you've ever watched a Saw movie and wished there was no gore and a few more puzzles to solve then you'll likely enjoy this tropey but fun flick.
It’s a movie about escape rooms that literally kill you, and if you’re willing to buy into that premise, it’s about as good as a movie with that premise could probably be. So, hey, 2019 is looking up.
