Can’t wait to see what all the Filipino moms with white husbands are gonna go see this weekend
KevinAug 3, 2022A win for Filipino representation on screen. A loss for an engaging, funny comedy to support them. It’s heart is in the right place but everything falls completely flat.
Matt NegliaJul 31, 2022Grim. So, so grim. The most generous reading of this movie for me is that now, because representation and diversity, Filipinos can star in shitty movies, too. (scroll below for recommendation of not shitty movies with Filipinos) Among the follies of representation include…

filipino representation on screen!! (but at what cost)
raphael camuaAug 23, 2022You either die a Filipino or live long enough to see yourself become a Filipino-American.
trainwrecktimSep 28, 2022When I said I wanted more Filipino representation in Hollywood, this is exactly NOT what I meant. Jo Koy and his Manny Pacquiao jokes are the absolute bane of my existence.

mid but if ur not filipino keep it to yourself also eva hml
zahara trentAug 4, 2022borderline unwatchable filipino version of a dhar mann video but if you're not filipino your opinion on this doesn't count jo koy plays a fictional version of himself that solves conflict by doing stand-up and it's one of the most insufferable things i’ve ever seen.…
julietAug 8, 2022My Big Fat Easter Sunday Turkey Say what you will, but this ultra-lame comedy is easily the funniest Easter movie ever to be released in August! It makes me wonder if they’ll be able to up the ante with a Fourth of July sequel next November? ”You never have been…

It’s like Filipino Grown Ups. It is messy with its storylines, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say the comedy hard carried it. Koy’s family and Tiffany Haddish were the best parts, and were written well. I wish Jo himself wasn’t in a serious role, but good overall 7.2/10
This was way better than bullet train. It had a better story and was way funnier plus it was emotional also. I liked how real it got towards the end and the relationship with his son hit home so this was just a good comedy with good emotional aspects. 79/100

Feels like an extended version of a Jo Koy standup (lots of laughs & cameos) with an emphasis on family and culture. This is a huge step forward for representation and hopefully will inspire so many others to tell their stories!
A chill and relatable movie that feels a bit like a Jo Koy stand up special. Definitely felt like I was watching parts of my own family on screen. Some parts felt unnecessary and very Hollywood but still fun regardless.

If you saw the trailer you saw 90% of the comedy that is in this movie. It would have been better if it was released on Netflix and not in theaters.
JGJustin GonzalesLoved it and if your all about FAMILY- Forget About Me I Love You, then this is your movie! Simply real and hilarious. I miss my mom! Thank you Jokoy for making your mom my mom and my mom represented in your mom! Mabuhay!!! Filipinos represent!!!
NVNiah VivierSuper funny! Very dynamic likable cast. Everyone can relate to the crazy family issues. There was extra high intensity drama that I didn't expect which worked very well in the story too! Loved the many references to Filipino and Mexican similarities! as a Mexican American…

Should be studied by film students about everything wrong with it
SMshanae martinMy daughter, and I really enjoyed the movie, it was really funny, very relatable for upbringing of a child and a mother’s or parents expectations.
MCManolito CastroThey rush the nice ending and made the screen on the side while the names of the cast are being shown. They could have made the ending better as a finale.
