Synopsis

Following the events from the "Dragon Ball Z" television series, after the defeat of Majin Buu, a new power awakens and threatens humanity. Beerus, an ancient and powerful God of Destruction, searches for Goku after hearing rumors of the Saiyan warrior who defeated Frieza. Realizing the threat Beerus poses to their home planet, the Z-fighters must find a way to stop him. Only Goku, humanity's last hope, can ascend to the level of a legendary Super Saiyan God and stop Beerus from destroying Earth, and possibly the entire universe! Fans of Dragon Ball Z, one of the most successful anime brands of all time, will be delighted to know that Battle of Gods is an original work from the Dragon Ball creator himself, Akira Toriyama.

    Finally reached the modern Dragon ball super, this was really really good. I love that there is so much comedy in this and animation was just amazing! I don't know why but it reminded me of Pokemon but still the story was really interesting about the God of Destruction.…

    I always like when longer anime make movies to accommodate people who don’t want to watch the whole arc, I did both and loved both and believe the movie does do the show justice with the fights, animation, new plot and your favorite characters 8/10

    First 20 or so episodes of super pretty much sums this up besides the fact it’s on a Cruise instead. SSGoku God is cool and Vegeta crash out over Bulma also cool. Beerus is a mid villain tho 6.9/10

    I own the DVD, watched the Television edit, and still enjoyed watching the film. I've never watched DBZ in theaters and it was awesome. Hopefully they made enough money to justify more.
