More films should thoroughly hate their main character as much as this does
•lily•Aug 14, 2020A film for cat lovers.
GriffinJul 16, 2024Sure all these fancy modern horror movies are serious studies of trauma but you know what's better? When an old lady pukes worms and maggots into someone's mouth

This was really good but also really bad at the same time ????
Adrian🍿May 29, 2013Allow me to not act my age and indulge in a bit of internet slang: This is the GOAT PG-13 horror movie ever made.
DirkHApr 27, 2022The first time I saw this was opening night at the recently shuttered Court Street Regal in Brooklyn, probably the most fun movie theater in America to see a horror movie. Loud, shameless, and utterly engaged, audiences could ruin the wrong movie or elevate the right one.…

genuinely horrible movie. cheap scares. really bad cgi to “compliment” these scares. the idea of a curse that can condemn people to hell is extremely broad and yet feels almost wasted on the main character who is exceptionally run-of-the-mill. what is the story trying to tell us?

I adore this horror-comedy despite the protagonist not deserving anything that befalls her. In various scenes, you get the creepiness factor followed by a feeling of disgust that ends in laughter. It’s a unique film that must be experienced. That ending still shakes me, too.
I know this isn’t a popular opinion among horror fans, but this movie was just way too cheesy. And this is from someone who really likes Evil Dead 2. It just felt like it couldn’t decide whether it wanted to be outright horror or comedy/horror and never committed to either.
With the humor, gore, and the scares, Raimi brought his usual horror flair and paired with likable characters, a great cast, and a solid story with themes of morality. Being dragged into Hell is a tragic and largely unfair fate, however, it's rarely as fun getting there.

LMAOOO SAM RAIMI MY GOAAAT this movie starts off a little bit slow but when it picks up, it gets crazy 💀 average sam raimi/evil dead reminiscent moments that had me gagging it gets so delightfully ridiculous and i really enjoyed it
I liked this movie. Although I thought that the main protagonist didn’t deserve any of the things that happened to her in this film. It’s creepy and eerie. Wasn’t all that scary tho imo. 7/10 would recommend
