Loved it. Super weird and at times just odd. But the message is great and underneath the surreal abstraction is something deep and meaningful. The body horror and surgery is impressive too.

Although there was an abundance of slower parts, I was intrigued throughout. Definitely a unique flick and I wouldn’t recommend to everyone, but for sure worth a watch if it’s your style

I was into it for the first act but the painfully slow pace, confusing storyline, and the autopsy really ruined it for me. I appreciated the point being made, but felt like the writing didn’t pull it together. I think I’m ok not seeing another Cronenberg.
Jazzy is "meh" onCrimes of the FutureI LOVE Cronenberg, but this movie fell short. Surgical fetishism is something that he has touched before and I expected the same type of fever dream depiction and just didn’t get that. I also didn’t feel like the actors convinced me of anything.
DL Cooper is "meh" onCrimes of the FutureReally cool idea, sick practicals and specials, but overall we couldn’t finish it. The narrative just wasn’t there, it had all the pieces to make a great movie but they couldn’t tell a good STORY. Love Cronenberg but this one’s a miss.

DCdora chavezStory telling was directly through dialogue. Audience was never given a chance to infer information. Acting was terrible (except for Stewart), effects were terrible, lighting was terrible. Lots of unnecessary female nudity. Storyline was choppy, at best.

Structured as a hardboiled detective thriller, Crimes of the Future has plenty of provocative concepts and images that will put a grin on your face (not least the dancer who has several ears on his face), but you may find yourself willing the plot to pick up momentum, and the ickiness to get a whole lot ickier.
